Simple, Reliable, Affordable

"You don't make technology for technology's sake.  You make technology for what it does for people.  You make it something useful for people, to make people’s lives better." Jim Busby, CEO & President, CentraLite.

As you can see from his statement above, CentraLite’s guiding light Jim Busby, has an uncomplicated view on the world.  It was this straight forward approach that built one of his first business ventures into one of the most significant computer companies of the 80’s & 90’s – Quality Micro Systems, or QMS were one of the most respected printer solution providers in the market place – to the extent that they were eventually acquired by Konica-Minolta.

Jim then assembled a first class R&D team to start CentraLite in 1997. Since then they have been designing and manufacturing home lighting control systems. Based in Mobile, Alabama USA, CentraLite systems let homeowners enjoy high quality dimming and automated scene control on a reasonable budget. Their design philosophy is to create excellent control products that enhance living and increase security. This concept includes an open system design that makes it easy to integrate complementary, third-party devices with their products.

The company’s award-winning products include Elegance™, the ultimate in hard-wired control and the more economical LiteJet™, winner of Electronic House Publishing’s 2005 Product of the Year.

A wireless system, StarLite™, developed for the huge retrofit home market, has just been introduced. This exiting new product has been selected for TechLiving Magazines 2005 HOT LIST top 50 new products.
